Public Art In Dania Beach

I was very honored when the city of Dania Beach considered my art work to be a part of the initiative to wrap the call boxes located throughout the city. A painting of Thiesel the alligator, a character from the Fairy Tale Project Trilogy was selected to be featured.

A Fairy Tale Gift For A Fairy Tale Prince

After the birth of Prince George of Cambridge, Dani Lynn the author of the Fairy Tale Project Series of children’s books and I decided that the Fairy Tale Prince needed a gift.  So along with a letter from Namura the Giant, we sent off the books hoping that they would find their way to the Palace.

Imagine our surprise a few weeks later when we received this incredible letter with a post mark from Buckingham Palace.

The power of a gift…

We all have the power to give, even a little gift to a complete stranger can bring so much happiness. In this particular case we did not even know if the gift would be received, but in our hearts we felt the joy just knowing we tried.

I would like to thank my Mom for the gift of reminding me to follow my heart, live my dreams and that Fairy Tales can come true!

“Davie Event A Feast For Art Lovers”

Last week Jacklyn and I participated in an Art & Literature Event with The Fairy Tale Project  at Young At Art Children’s Museum in South Florida.  Scott Fishman from the Forum Publishing Group interviewed Jacklyn for an article that was to be published in the Ft. Lauderdale Sun Sentinel.  It just came out a couple days ago and I wanted to share it.

Here’s Scott with Jacklyn surrounded by a couple of the paintings that were used in the Fairy Tale Project’s children’s book series I wrote… which Jacklyn beautifully and imaginatively created the artwork for!

Young At Art – A Day At The Museum

Dani Lynn (author of The Fairy Tale Project children’s book series) and I, along with Ladle the Leap Frog, had so much fun at Young At Art Museum this week. Our workshop was perfect, we did a story time reading from the Fairy Tale Project’s books and the children were inspired to make books of their own.

The children each took a turn at reading in front of the group and presented their stories and illustrations.  A great time was had by all!artist, blog

The Power of literacy allows one to explore new horizons…

In this particular case it has always been our goal to promote literacy. We hope the stories from The Fairy Tale Project will inspire children to read and that the illustrations will spark their imaginations.

Thank you to the staff and volunteers At Young At Art Museum. You were a tremendous help and we appreciate the time and attention you gave to us. A special thank you goes to Laurel and Amanda for their excellent work assisting Ladle The Leap frog!
